The
Three-B stud was founded in the 1972 by K.H. Reipen. At that time
the stud was located in Germany and breeding for several years was
only Welsh Ponies and Partbreds. In 1977 the first Welsh Mountain
Pony “Polly Rhyddods Minco” came into the stud and together with the
mares “Menai Silver Flute” and “Six Oaks Betta” started a successful
breeding. In 1986 B.H. Reipen, the daughter of K.H. Reipen, started
her own lines under the Three-B prefix. Her foundation mare was
the well known “Polaris Campion “. After getting married to a Welsh
Cob breeder and moving to Wales, today the Three-B stud in Llandysul
is the home of Welsh Mountain Ponies and Welsh Cobs. We have many
champions – some born in Germany - others in Wales – running in the
fields or shown with great success. The other part of the Three-B
stud (owned & run by K.H. Reipen) is now based in New Zealand. Many
winners from both parts of the stud go back to the well known
stallion “Three-B Barrog’. |
